Prayer
Submitted by The UhlersPrayer is one of the best
free gifts we receive. There is no cost but a lot
of rewards. Let's continue praying for one
another. May
today there be peace within. May you trust God
that you are exactly where you are meant to be.
May you not forget the infinite possibilities
that are born of faith. May you use those gifts
that you have received, and pass on the love that
has been given to you. May you be content knowing
you are a child of God. Let His presence settle
into your bones, and allow your soul the freedom
to sing, dance, and to bask in the sun. It is
there for each and every one of you.

Dear Blabby
Dear Blabby;
My husband is a sports fan and it is driving me nuts!
Mostly it's football, and he is either watching it or
talking about it 90% of the time. Other than that we have
a perfect marriage.
NFL Hater in Detroit
Dear Hater;
Well, dearie, if football's the only problem in a perfect
marriage, trot yourself into the kitchen and throw some
popcorn in the microwave; dig out an ice cold cola and
join him in front of the tube. You can knit, make silly
comments about the game, work a crossword, remark on the
ridiculous uniforms players wear, write a letter to an
old friend, give your own play-by-play commentary on the
game... Get the idea?

Dear Blabby;
Do you think getting a tattoo is sinful?
Plain Teen in Plainsville
Dear Plain;
Sinful, I doubt it. Painful, I'm sure of it! I'd rather
be plain than in pain any day. By the way, how do you
know you're plain? Is that your own idea, or did you pick
it up from some other fool? Listen, God made you
beautiful! But if you think you're plain, there are much
more effective ways to spice up your appearance. Go for
color, lose the baggy clothes if you wear them, try a new
hair style. None of these are permanent nor painful.

Dear Blabby;
I am engaged to a kind and wonderful man from a wealthy
family. They are always very polite and formal when I am
around even though they've known me for years. All this
formality makes me quite uncomfortable and has me
worried. Do you think they are so stiff because they
don't like me? How can I make them relax and warm up to
me.
Stiffed from Georgia
Dear Stiffed;
From Georgia, eh? Could it be that they are an old line
Southern family and have been born and bred to act like
perfect ladies and gents when guests are afoot? To them
you'll be a guest until the wedding at least... but I
suspect there's more to it. I'll bet you are stiff and
formal, too. You say you feel uncomfortable and
worried... It's bound to show. Want these folks to relax?
Loosen up yourself! Smile, laugh, be human. Let 'em know
early on that you are not perfect--they aren't either, of
course, but you needn't tell them just yet ;-)

Dear Iona;
Thanks so much for the encouraging website! I am a new

The "WILL OF
GOD" poem was especially for me. I am going through
a really TOUGH time - my husband left in August and has
filed papers. I do know the power and strength and
perfect will of God - my Father - but I have been
struggling with panic, dismay, rejection and loneliness.
I feel like the man who cried, "Lord I believe -
help my unbelief." So now you can see this meant a
lot to me. Thank you so much and God bless you. I hope we
can get together sometime!

Thank you for creating
such beautiful Thanksgiving pictures. I sent via email
the Turkey Be Blessed Be Thankful one to my whole family
in North Carolina! They really liked it too. When I start
creating sites and graphics I just pray God will give me
the love and grace I see in your site. God Bless you
always. Judy M. Dykes

Please can you help???
I read a few weeks (maybe a month or two ago), a poem,
about God creating the babies in heaven, them spending
their time in His presence, and then God sending them to
earth, to learn to walk, talk ..... and the poem ended:
But you shall have a helper, and you will call her
mother.
I've spent a few hours searching for this site, and I
can't seem to find it. Perhaps you can help??
You see, I'm doing a "book" (if you can call it
that) for a VERY special friend of mine. She's having her
first baby (after loosing two) in about six weeks time,
and I want to assemble a book with inspirational poems,
verses, "tips", photo's - all around a story
line for her & her new baby. I would love that poem
as an opening intro to this "book". I'd really
appreciate your help.
May God Bless you all for the rich deposits, you invest
in peoples lives with your work.

Thank You so much,
It's exactly what I was looking for.
I really enjoy your site, and I know that you are reaping
in the harvest with the talents that you have, using it
for His glory.
Thanks again for your wonderful, blessing filled work :-)
Colleen.

Hi Iona,
I pray this e-mail finds you rejoicing in the moment
according to Psalm 118:24.
The Handmaidens is beautifully done and I can't thank you
enough for featuring my poetry and testimony. God has
used you to indicate to me that He really cares. I really
believe that God through the blood of His one and only
Son, Jesus Christ will restore what the devil has stolen,
because no weapon formed against me will prosper.
Thanks again for your commitment
God Bless You
Always Thankful
Your Brother in Christ

I have been reading
Handmaidens for almost a year and am amazed at the amount
and variety of material. Last week, I visited other areas
of your "Ionanet" domain and cannot believe you
do all that by yourself. You say in your writings that
you are a grandma with a computer in a spare bedroom?
C'mon, you surely have two or three other people working
on Handmaidens and all the other pages, right?
Admiringly, Sue Lee
Dear Admirer;
Nope, it's just me. But if you take a close look around
ionanet, you'll see there's much needing done! All in
all, I appreciate your kind words, but any glory belongs
to the Lord. The Holy Spirit directs, I merely follow
along the best I can ;-)
