Just A Thought
By Staff Writer Sharon Barrett

Matthew 6:15 "But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins."

You want to be forgiven for the mistakes you make, of course you do! Have you realized lately that to be forgiven for your mistakes you must forgive others for their mistakes. I know, and so do you, just how much the LORD loves and cares for us. In GOD'S own way he is also telling us it is better for our health to forgive others and not to hold things against them. This is not just physical health, but also spiritual health.

Song of Inspiration
By Judy Fune

Melody beats with certain sound of Magic
like rhythm of music,
In the tune of ones own heart, it's harmonic

Oh God of joy from up above....
My dear Father!... all is love...

Capturing the Truth about your well being parts
Music Plays in all Breathing Hearts
The Mystery lies in the magical essence of Life
and in the name of Love, truthfulness is its delight.....

The song of love may fade one day and die
But, only to begin again at the end of every passing time

Without your Inborn Heart's desire...
You might as well sign your life away or bade good-bye...

Love grows as life goes
It flows in so many ways
through immeasurable times
of the passing days

And Oh yes! Of sound mind I can feel
My soul above the highest hill
Like a feather in midst of the air
Swiftly dances and flows along with any types of weather
Closer, as I vision to understand its quivers
I see shimmers, silvery white and shiny
In colors of winters

A butterfly! I cry, exploring across as I see me fly
through the sparkles of crystal waters
Immersing Into the luminous fluid foundation of life,
I see God's recreational rivers my heart so desires

Alone Yet Not Alone
By Robert Leechford

Father is with Me
alone and yet not alone -
Do you now believe ?

Words of Jesus in John 16:32.
Poem to pray to know the father.

The Lord Made Today
By Jennifer Thill

The Lord made today,
as He makes everyone.
From Beginning to End,
He'll make the last one.

We know of the times,
now close to an end.
Our Loving God has prepared us,
for what lies ahead.

He tells of the many,
who'll deny Him till death.
And the Children of God,
who don't fear their last breath.

Jesus came to save man,
as we're hell-bent to sin.
So Christ died on the Cross,
for our Salvation through Him.

Jennifer Thill, Aug. 19, 2000

To my friend Iona,

Dream a little dream, I can't seem to stop singing.
Now you may find me odd as a human being
But, Iona my love, my hope is ringing
I know in my heart you can justify my being
Not only to correct my choice of words
but maybe even my very wrong spelling

Sweet lovin you in Jesus name,
Judy Fune

Because of the Lord
By Staff Writer Sharon Barrett

Because of the Lord...
...I wake each morning,
... I take steps each day .
... Faith is filled with in me,
... I have learned to love my enemies.

... I have become a better person
... I stand and face things head on.
... I have the strength to deal with trials and tribulations
... I am able to walk out the front door onto the front lawn.

... I do not live in fear of man.
... I love myself even when others do not.
... I a woman with special needs.
... these needs are filled.

... I am whole inside
... I am of sound mind
... I am what he made me to be.
... I am a woman.

MY DEAR JESUS CHRIST
By Judy Fune

You will come across
Face to Face with many
To whom can recognize thee
But the soul who embraces thee

Mighty look you give to me
full of love full of courtesy
Such comfort in your eyes
that all, all I see is you and me

No asking questions
No asking who you are
I just know in my heart
You are the love of mine

The power of your eyes
is the sight no one shall ever over looked
For the power of your eyes
Has words that speaks into my mind

I love you my dear Jesus Christ...

A Ladies Breakfast
By Ema Maria Bermudez Resendez

We had a Ladies Breakfast today
around my table we did pray.

The pretty thoughts we wrote right down
and spread a little cheer around.
Each had something nice to say
about their sister before each went her way.

We each whispered a prayer to God above
we want to learn to show His love
We each looked deep inside our soul
and asked the Lord to bring it forth

A prayer we did write to Him
That he would help us not to sin.
He looked with us into our hearts
and showed us what to pray about.

We know He's begun a work today
for at my table He did stay.
Our Ladies Breakfast was not in vain
for we asked Jesus to change us within

We had a Ladies Breakfast today
and around my table we did pray.

The Maiden
By Susan Cunningham

Virtue.. somber, feeling stirrings of life
within the womb, to overshadow terror and impending doom.
Brought to earth, silently weaving hope
through the strands of tears.. trickling,
prickled by the thorns binding.
Bowing low, sheltered by the wind and the
wandering of ancient words seeking new, within.
Once upon a second, beating deep inside
the hallowed home, a tiny heart, a seed
of humble willing.. still unknown.
There waits among the ruins, healing
~cleansing and purity~
responding to the wings' glorious news,
of a miracle.. bringing.

Eternally Minded
By Margaret Diane

I heard a song today,
Prayers turn to noise when I sin.
How can we do what is right,
And never look back again?

Eternally minded,
Thinking of Heaven.
Eternally minded,
Sin has no place in my heart.

Eternally minded,
Faith and hope in place,
Eternally minded,
Runs the good race.

Lot's wife looked back,
Don't want to be bitter salt.
Don't let me think about the past.
Help me to remember where I am called.

Jesus, His grace is sufficient,
His mercy makes me whole again.
Filled up, packed down and over flowing,
By faith, He frees my heart from sin.

The Redwood Image
By Staff Writer Sharon Barrett

The redwood Image stood out among all the rest,
Lined carved with a delicate touch.
All the while you feel he won the test,
With eyes closed his face revealed so much.

The redwood board had to have been chosen with care,
each grain of wood sanded to perfection.
Delicate tools used were more the fair,
his image was a mere reflection.

As I stand before the mantle top,
I rejoice in his having been here.
Strange feelings I do not want them to stop,
for it is peace, joy and love not fear.

People worship this man for his walking with us,
yet they do not believe in his returning and they should.
for Christ died for our sins, we must,
believe not only in the image carved in redwood.

Legacy of Love
A song by Dixie Phillips

Iona,
Thank you so much for your words of comfort. Grandma's funeral was a "taste" of Heaven on earth. It was wonderful! She was such a Godly Grandma. I wrote a song about her entitled LEGACY OF LOVE. We sang it at her funeral. You won't have the melody but the lyrics are like this ~~~~

Legacy of Love

1. You've left us for awhile
We'll miss your lovely smile
But death cannot erase
Sweet memories that took place.
Although you've gone away
In our heart you'll always stay
Our gift from God above
Our Legacy of love.

CHORUS
Your Legacy of Love with us will remain
Echoing the truths your life did proclaim
The torch has now been passed
We raise it unashamed ~~~ Your Legacy of Love!
You're with Christ above & Christ is here with me
We're really not apart there's just a veil between.
You will always be
Etched in your memory
Our Legacy of Love.

2. Your work on earth is done.
Life's final war you've won
This one thing we know
You've left "footprints" in our soul
We'll keep marching on
Singing all your songs
'Til we reach Heaven above
And our Legacy of Love!

Thank you for letting me share with you at this time.

Keep the "SON" in your eyes,
Dixie
