A Culinary Christmas Food is one of our most treasured Christmas traditions. If asked about their fondest Christmas memories, most folks will include something about food in their reply. I fall easily into that category for although I am one of the world's worst cooks, I do love food, and I can almost taste my Mama's Christmas ham right now! God knew His people would relate to food and its tantalizing aromas, so He included feasts in the various celebrations and memorials He instituted in the Old Testament. God loves to please His people with food and even promises us a wedding supper with the Lamb! I can't wait for that one!!! Now, this may offend some of you svelte and sleek ladies who diet a lot, but I personally believe God intended us to enjoy our food and not obsess over our weight. Oh yeah, I know food can get us in trouble just like anything else... moderation is the key. Most of the time (grin)! But at Christmas? No! Just dig in and enjoy... and carry a plate to a shut in or a lonely old man down the street. Well, let's get on with it...
