I enjoyed browsing your website and thought that you may
be interested in our organization that serves people who
live with chronic illness or pain. Hope you will take a
moment to drop by our site. If you have a newsletter or
any kind of publication where you refer people to great
resources, we would so appreciate it if you would
consider including our services.
Thanks so much!
Chronic Illness/Pain Organization Offers
Hope
Rest Ministries, Inc.

Over 49%
of women who were diagnosed with breast cancer reacted by
becoming "more religious..." but where did they
find comfort and hope that realistically addressed their
pain? Rest Ministries, Inc. is the only national
non-profit Christian organization that serves people who
live with chronic illness or pain. Through resources and
programs, such as an email support list, monthly
newsletter, and HopeKeeper small groups, people find
others who have encountered a detour in life's plans.
Rest Ministries also assists churches in ministering to
and with the 1 in 3 people in the US who live with a
chronic condition.
Above statistic of women with breast cancer source:
Roberts, J.A.; Brown, D.; Elkins, T and Larson, D.B.
(1997). "Factors Influencing Views of Patients with
Gynecological Cancer About End-of-Life Decisions."
American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology 176 (1):
166-172. June 11, 1997
1 in 3 statistic: Many organizations have confirmed that
over 100 million people in the US have a chronic
condition. (2.63 billion population in the US, hence, the
1 in 3 figure).

Cancer
Prevention

Subject: BREAST CANCER
PREVENTION - not just for women
Importance: High
I just got information from a health seminar that I would
like to share. The leading cause of breast cancer is the
use of anti-perspirant. What? Yes, ANTI-PERSPIRANT. Most
of the products out there are an
anti-perspirant/deodorant combination so go home and
check your labels. Deodorant is fine, anti-perspirant is
not. Here's why: The human body has a few areas that it
uses to purge toxins; behind the knees, behind the ears,
groin area, and armpits. The toxins are purged in the
form of perspiration. Anti-perspirant, as the name
clearly indicates, prevents you from perspiring, thereby
inhibiting the body from purging toxins from below the
armpits. These toxins do not just magically disappear.
Instead, the body deposits them in the lymph nodes below
the arms since it cannot sweat them out. This causes a
high concentration of toxins and leads to cell mutations:
a.k.a. CANCER. Nearly all breast cancer tumors occur in
the upper outside quadrant of the breast area. This is
precisely where the lymph nodes are located.
Additionally, men are less likely (but not completely
exempt) to develop breast cancer prompted by
anti-perspirant usage because most of the anti-perspirant
product is caught in their hair and is not directly
applied to the skin. Women who apply anti-perspirant
right after shaving increase the risk further because
shaving causes almost imperceptible nicks in the skin
which give the chemicals entrance into the body from the
armpit area.
PLEASE pass this along to anyone you care about. Breast
Cancer is becoming frighteningly common. This awareness
may save lives. If you are skeptical about these
findings, I urge you to do some research for yourself.
You will arrive at the same conclusions, I assure you.
Thank you.
