Dear
Blabby
Dear Blabby;
We go to a "casual" church. Music is contemporary, dress is informal,
but we have a few older members who still dress to the nines for church
and always want some of the older hymns sung. We're not a big enough
body to have two sessions, one casual and one traditional. Any
suggestions?
Not so Stiff
Dear Not so Stiff;
Have some contemporary music and some traditional in each service. Look
at the people, not their clothes. Welcome your differences and work with
them. Such cooperative "body building" will lead to spiritual health.

Dear Blabby;
My sister who is 49 is having breast augmentation surgery...at forty
nine? Vanity of vanities! What can I say to convince her this is wrong?
Saddened Sister
Dear Saddened;
How did you come to the conclusion that your sister's surgery is wrong?
Is it wrong because she is 49, or is it wrong because you feel it's vain
to want to enhance your body through surgery? Or is there some other
reason like she ought to give that money to the poor? Whatever reasons
she has for wanting the surgery, I suggest you be there for her in a
supportive way through this painful process. Let the rightness or
wrongness of her choice be worked out between her and Jesus.

Dear Blabby;
How old was Mary when she had Jesus? I heard she was my age, 14. If God
thought Mary was old enough to be a mother, then how can my parents
think I am not old enough to date?
Mature Maiden
Dear Mature;
Know one knows how old Mary actually was when she gave birth to the
Savior, but whatever her age, she is not a valid measuring stick for
your situation. Mandatory age requirements are merely guidelines hinting
at a level of Maturity. How responsible are you with other aspects of
your life? Homework and school? Chores and helping out around home?
Keeping your word and obeying rules? If you've proven your maturity in
those areas, it won't be long before you enjoy more freedoms.

It's good to see you back in operation.
The work you do online is important and I pray you will not give it up.
Trust God for the money. It will come as needed, not too early or too
late. Shalom.

Dear Iona,
May I suggest you do something to get some of the excellent material in
your archives in front of your visitors. You have great stuff, but it is
buried and hard to find. Could you categorize it somehow and promote it
better?
In His Love,
Beth Y.

Dear Handmaidens;
I wrote before but my letter wasn't posted. Do you screen them? Was
there something I said that was offensive to you?
Brenda L.
Dear Brenda;
I'm sorry your letter wasn't posted. I previously lost a lot of e-mail,
plus I get a ton of spam, so it could be I never saw your letter. I only
screen mail for unwholesome content, but have not recently had any like
that. I suspect your letter just got lost in the shuffle, and I
apologize.

Dear Iona,
Thanks so much for this work of love you do. I know a bit of your
background from reading your blogs. I am inspired that you keep on
pushing the limits. Never give up!
