Just a Thought...
By Staff Writer Sharon BarrettLove, a four letter word,
but has to be the second largest word in the
world, of course the first being if. Have you
ever had the love of a pet, have you ever noticed
they love you all the time, no matter what you do
or how you feel. You come home mad at the world
because things didn't go well for you and you
kick the dog, or scream at it to get down, when
in fact the dog is just so happy to see you no
matter what. God is the same, no matter how bad
things get for you he is always happy to see you,
happy to hear from you, just plain happy to love
you for you. Just check out Ephesians 5:1-2
"live a life of love."

The Issue of
Divorce
By Greg
Ewert
We have seen the issue
of divorce argued, defined, redefined, haggled over and
dissected in every way possible. It has been my
experience that every situation or circumstance that has
lead a person to separate has been unique unto itself.
This is applicable to both the violator and the victim.
So to argue its inevitable existence would seem to be a
fruitless attempt to try and unify opposites. To look at
water and oil, pure in form, in a jar, they look the
same. If you pour them into the same jar, they still look
the same, but they are separate and a visible line is
seen. The only way to force a seemingly union would be to
shake the jar. As long as anger, bitterness,
unforgiveness and a need to satisfy is shaking the jar,
the line is never seen.
We, in our humanity, long to answer the mystery of why.
This mystery, in itself, is a self containing force. Once
a person's humanity grasps this mystery, it is like
grabbing a high voltage power line, insofar that no
matter how painful it is, it is impossible to release
this powerful force.
This mystery, this invisible force that has driven
humanity to achieve has a reverse effect when applied to
faith or relationships. Proof? This mystery has produced
millions of self help books and has made many a man, and
woman, rich and famous. However, let us look at the fruit
of the millions of dollars poured into making the pain of
why seem less painful.
In the last 10 years of mass producing self help books
and seminars. The divorce rate, suicide rates (on all
levels) and back-sliding has increased at an alarming
rate. Depression and dysfunction are being held in check
with chemicals. Children have become mindless zombies
with the introduction of powerful mind controlling drugs
into their little bodies. Humanity, on all levels, has
become murderous. Children are killing children, mothers
are killing their unborn, fathers are killing families,
hate has murdered society and so-called tolerance has
murdered the ability to see sin.
Christianity, or sometimes refereed to as the church, is
not immune to any of the above. All the above exists,
predominantly, in every form of religion. Christianity,
as a religion; the church, as an institution; any
religion or institution, can not and has not done
anything to alter the direction of destruction, this
world is headed for. Or, has it already achieved a
hopeless free-fall into eternal damnation.
Is there a quick fix for the family or social dysfunction
that has ripped the hearts from the believer and
non-believer alike? Is there a book, tape or video that
will put more peace in the heart; than money in the
pocket? Is there hope? Is there any hope for the church,
for the family, for society and our children? Yes.... Yes
there is hope, a plan, a future.
God, in his unfailing love and mercy, is raising up a new
people. Over the last ten years, while man and Satan have
become one, God has been busy. Isolated from society and
the false religious authorities, God has been training
and equipping an army of believers. This is a true
believer, men and women, who have been trained and
enabled to deal with the forces that threaten the very
existence of mankind. Like John the Baptist, they have
been living in the deserts of this life. Their
possessions are few and they survive by eating the
locusts and grubs of this day & age. This is a
people, not a person. They have been calling a far away
message. Their voices have echoed from afar.
The time has come, in these last days, where the unknown
little guy, will be raised up, with a message of
salvation. True prophets and apostles will emerge. They
will be like flowers, growing and rooted in stone. Each
will blossom in season, and all of mankind will look with
amazement These will be a people, who have never attended
seminary. Their power will not come from education, and
the ability to manipulate logic. These are a people that
are empowered with an unquenchable burning from within. A
single soul will be more valuable to them than all the
riches this world can offer.
Once again, the message, the gospel, will be preached and
taught. Salvation, in its purest simplicity will once
again be heard. Eternal life, will out shine the gold and
silver of this world. And, once again, the message will
be attacked.
Satan, with his incredible powers of deception, has
succeeded. He has successfully planted a seed in the
heart of humanity. As this seed grows it produces,
seemingly harmless, lists. These lists are very religious
in nature and can grow in both the married and single
persons heart. These lists form an image. They create a
picture of a man or woman that does not exist. These
lists are formed and planted with the full intention to
religiously cause division. They have succeeded in
dividing the married and the single believer. The lists
have judged both husband and wife, giving false
justification to fear and anger. They have divided the
single person, so no unity can exist. In the single heart
of this day, the list is formed out of fear, not the need
to love. In the single heart, the list is most often
created out of the selfish desire to be loved, not to be
a lover.
Satan is intimidated by only one thing, unity. So he
created a false unity. He has succeeded in uniting people
to fear and divide.
The teaching, to serve self, is not in anyway, godly. The
teaching of individual rights, is not godly. A true
believer recognizes that they have given up their rights
to self. A true believer has a burning need to be
responsible for the life of another, without conditions.
A true believer is more
concerned about the soul of another, than their own
happiness or feelings of fulfillment. A true believer's
love is to serve and bring fulfillment to others, and not
seek fulfillment anywhere but the throne room. A true
believer finds satisfaction in sacrifice, not in revenge.
A true believer carries their own cross and lives it, not
expecting anyone else to. A true believer sees their life
as a sacrifice or an instrument to serve others. A true
believer does not look for sacrifice or to be served. A
true believer extends grace and does not use the grace
that God gave them to sin. A true believer offers mercy,
they do not demand it. A true believer gives love, they
do not steal it.

When Tomorrow
Starts Without Me
Submitted
by Edie Smith
When tomorrow starts
without me,
And I'm not there to see;
If the sun should rise and find your eyes
All filled with tears for me;
I wish so much you wouldn't cry
The way you did today,
While thinking of the many things,
We didn't get to say.
I know how much you love me,
As much as I love you,
And each time that you think of me,
I know you'll miss me too;
But when tomorrow starts without me,
Please try to understand,
That an angel came and called my name,
And took me by the hand,
And said my place was ready,
In heaven far above,
And that I'd have to leave behind
All those I dearly love.
But as I turned to walk away,
A tear fell from my eye,
For all my life, I'd always thought,
I didn't want to die.
I had so much to live for,
So much yet to do,
It seemed almost impossible,
That I was leaving you.
I thought of all the yesterdays,
The good ones and the bad,
I thought of all the love we shared,
And all the fun we had.
If I could relive yesterday,
Just even for a while,
I'd say goodbye and kiss you
And maybe see you smile.
But then I fully realized,
That this could never be,
For emptiness and memories,
Would take the place of me.
And when I thought of worldly things,
I might miss come tomorrow,
I thought of you, and when I did,
My heart was filled with sorrow.
But when I walked through heaven's gates,
I felt so much at home.
When God looked down and smiled at me,
From His great golden throne,
He said "This is eternity,
And all I've promised you."
Today for life on earth is past,
But here it starts anew.
I promise no tomorrow,
But today will always last,
And since each day's the same day
There's no longing for the past.
But you have been so faithful,
So trusting and so true.
Though there were times you did some things,
You knew you shouldn't do.
But you have been forgiven
And now at last you're free.
So won't you take my hand
And share my life with me?
So when tomorrow starts without me,
Don't think we're far apart,
For everytime you think of me,
I'm right here, in your heart.
