Just A Thought
By Staff Writer Sharon Barrett
Colossians 2:16,17
"Therefore do not let anyone judge you by
what you eat or drink, or with regard to a
religious festival a new Moon celebration or a
Sabbath day. "
A warning
against formalism and mysticism, yet we know
these things are to pass. Judging others by the
food they eat, or what they do and do not drink
sounds pretty silly, but it happens. People
judging others by what religious holidays they
celebrate are all signs of the last days.

Dear Blabby
Dear Blabby;
Our youth pastor just turned 30 and some of us feel he
should step down so we can put a younger person in there,
someone who is closer to the kids' age. What do you
think?
Mother in Miami
Dear Mother;
Well, it seems he must have been doing a good job up
until now or you would have surely listed each failure.
As far as I am concerned, if he is called and if he's
been successful with the kids, it doesn't matter if he's
130. Leave him alone and let him minister!

Dear Blabby;
I have a brother who loves to play practical jokes. He's
a pastor and yet he still tells all sorts of fibs to set
people up for his jokes. The tricks are never mean or
cruel and everyone seems to laugh with him, but I am
concerned about the lies he tells as part of these jokes.
Caring Sister
Dear Caring;
Apparently you are your brother's keeper... but to
address the more serious issue, fibs as part of a joke
and only meant to be believed for a short while and for
fun hardly fall into the category of lies... I tell my
share of silly stories which are intended only for
entertainment. The real issue is one of the heart... and
the Lord surely knows our hearts, so let's leave your
brother's tall tales to Him.

Happy Mothers day to all
mothers, we will always love our children no matter what.
sometimes our children will make mistakes, but no matter
what we will still always love them. You see The good
lord has given us our children but it's only for a short
time, because once they grow up they are on their Own,
but regardless we will always be here for them.

Iona,
We have been praying for your site. By "we" I
mean our women's Bible study group. One of our members
happened on the site a few days ago and now we have all
joined and pray for handmaidens and all its members every
day.
