Love Notes
By Iona Hoeppner
Special words and deeds bestowed for no other reason than simple love are by far the best kind... Whether they are from man or God, I call them
Love Notes.  The non-traditional ones are the coolest. My blog readers know how wonderfully I was blessed by folded panties and a Texas rain shower (not at the same tIme). IF WE WILL SPEND MORE TIME DEVISING AND DELIVERING Love Notes TO OUR SWEETIES, we'll get a lot more in return. Kids have a good handle on love. Check it out!

Love Is... Out of The Mouths of Babes
Submitted by Kathy Bach

Even if you think you've seen this one before (there are several floating around) slow down for three minutes to read this. It is so worth it.
Touching words from the mouth of babes.
What does Love mean?
A group of professional people posed this question to a group of 4 to 8 year-olds, "What does love mean?"

The answers they got were broader and deeper than anyone could have imagined. See what you think:
________

"When my grandmother got arthritis, she couldn't bend over and paint her toenails anymore.

So my grandfather does it for her all the time, even when his hands got arthritis too. That's love."

Rebecca- age 8
________

"When someone loves you, the way they say your name is different.

You just know that your name is safe in their mouth."

Billy - age 4 (I love this one)
________

"Love is when a girl puts on perfume and a boy puts on shaving cologne and they go out and smell each other."

Karl - age 5
________

"Love is when you go out to eat and give somebody most of your French fries without making them give you any of theirs."

Chrissy - age 6
________

"Love is what makes you smile when you're tired."

Terri - age 4
________

"Love is when my mommy makes coffee for my daddy and she takes a sip before giving it to him, to make sure the taste is OK."

Danny - age 7

________

"Love is when you kiss all the time. Then when you get tired of kissing, you still want to be together and you talk more. My Mommy and Daddy are like that. They look gross when they kiss"

Emily - age 8
________

"Love is what's in the room with you at Christmas if you stop opening presents and listen."

Bobby - age 7 (Wow!)
________

"If you want to learn to love better, you should start with a friend who you hate,"

Nikka - age 6
(we need a few million more Nikka's on this planet)
________

"Love is when you tell a guy you like his shirt, then he wears it everyday."

Noelle - age 7
________

"Love is like a little old woman and a little old man who are still friends even after they know each other so well."

Tommy - age 6
________

"During my piano recital, I was on a stage and I was scared. I looked at all the people watching me and saw my daddy waving and smiling. He was the only one doing that. I wasn't scared anymore."

Cindy - age 8
________

"My mommy loves me more than anybody. You don't see anyone else kissing me to sleep at night."

Clare - age 6
________

"Love is when Mommy gives Daddy the best piece of chicken."

Elaine-age 5
________

"Love is when Mommy sees Daddy smelly and sweaty and still says he is handsomer than Robert Redford."

Chris - age 7
________

"Love is when your puppy licks your face even after you left him alone all day."

Mary Ann - age 4
________

"I know my older sister loves me because she gives me all her old clothes and has to go out and buy new ones."

Lauren - age 4
________

"When you love somebody, your eyelashes go up and down and little stars come out of you." (what an image)

Karen - age 7
________

"Love is when Mommy sees Daddy on the toilet and she doesn't think it's gross."

Mark - age 6
________

"You really shouldn't say 'I love you' unless you mean it. But if you mean it, you should say it a lot. People forget."

Jessica - age 8
________

And the final one -- Author and lecturer Leo Buscaglia (who I went to high school with) once talked about a contest he was asked to judge.

The purpose of the contest was to find the most caring child.

The winner was a four year old child whose next door neighbor was an elderly gentleman who had recently lost his wife.

Upon seeing the man cry, the little boy went into the old gentleman's yard, climbed onto his lap, and just sat there.

When his Mother asked what he had said to the neighbor, the little boy said,

"Nothing, I just helped him cry"

Beautiful Testimony of a Single Mom

I like what you have done here. I have looked on the internet for sites but not too many. So of them have too much resources and not enough information that one can just sit down and read about in the middle of a work day. I like to read praise reports and even prayer requests were I in turn can pray for others.

I have just turned my life around. I got back into the word and I have been praying for God to use me to his will.

I wasn't hearing anything and one day He told me..."You have been blessed with Eternal Life". I just couldn't stop crying, I knew I felt the presence of the Holy Spirit within me. During this same time I have also learned that when you don't hear or see things then you Thank God for blessing you.

I am a single parent, I haven't made too many good choices in my life or been valued. I took what I can  and didn't make much out of it.

But I have given my life back to God and have been so thirsty for the word of God everyday. Any minute I have I would just read and read and buy inspirational books that can also help me through out my journey. So far so good. The Lord is good and I know that were He leads me I will follow.

I am ready for change. I want to be a witness and just glorify His Name. God willing I would love to be able to reach out to others and help in anyway I can. I have been working with a co worker and I bring books for her to read and help her understand why things are the way they are as she goes along her journey.

Like I said before, I like information that points out maybe even Bible study things about single parents or marriages and what not. I get anxious about reading something then when I have to look at a scripture to understand it  better I do.

I hope the best for your magazine and I will keep you in my prayers, God willing this will ultimately touch the lives of so many people who like me want to read and read and enjoy the Word of God and gain understanding and knowledge from it.

Women today are wanting change not only for themselves but for their families and marriages and single women are looking to find out how to better their lives and enjoy what God has already blessed them with and give them an understanding of how to be patient and wait till God is ready to send this Godly man that we all want. Someone supportive that will help us in our walk.

I am in a relationship with a guy who wants me to live with him but does not want to commit. Does he Value me? Not too much. God is showing me the light and if I have to make sacrifices to bring the Word of God to light then I will, God willing.

Well,  good luck, I look forward to reading what you publish. I am quite anxious.
