Just a Thought...
By Staff Writer Sharon Barrett
Are you one of those people who has to wait for
disaster to strike before helping a person out?
We should not wait for tornado's, hurricanes, and
natural disasters to happen to help others.
Please take the time to take your old clothes to
the Goodwill, or pass them along to friends or
family. Fix that nice roast or dinner for the
person next door who is old and lonely! You might
just be surprised one day when you're feeling
down and need a caring ear... that person just
might be there for you. And if not, God's ear is
always there. Show others what a good Christian
person is made of, do a good deed every day not
just when disaster strikes. |

Dear Blabby
Dear Blabby;
I have two sons (12 and 13) who love sports. While one is
quite good athletically, the other is a total klutz. One
son is a sports hero and the other can't make the teams.
Since he is so ungifted in this area, why do you think he
keeps pushing to be like his younger brother? And what
can I do to get him interested in something he might be
good at?
Worried Mom
Dear Worried;
Seems to me you've already done one important thing...
you cared! And you recognized this boy's need for
success. Don't make a big issue about sports. Expose the
boys to some culture at a concert or museum. Junior High
is a great time to explore, and if you do it as a family,
everyone has a good time. Just keep praying for your boys
and showering them with love.

Dear Blabby;
I am a 24 year old widow. My husband was killed in an
accident six years ago, just two days after our wedding.
He was my high school sweetheart, the only boy I ever
dated. Now that I think I am ready to "get on with
my life" and find a new mate, I have no idea how to
begin.
Naive in Norwalk
Dear Naive;
Yes, this is a different scene than high school. First.
put aside the hunt for a new hubby and just seek to get
to know some men as friends. Join some Christian singles
groups, get involved with a club or group with some
special interest like spelunking, bicycling, etc. Get out
there, baby! Then let the Lord lead.

Dear Blabby;
When I met my new sister-in-law for the first time last
month, she decided we were best friends. Now, she spends
every spare minute at our house and it's causing problems
with my husband and children. She is just so needy and
insecure I am afraid to hurt her. How can I gently pry
her loose?
Smothered in San Francisco
Dear Smothered;
I always feel open and frank methods are best... but then
that has backfired for me several times. If you believe
she might be depressed or suicidal seek advice from
family members who know her history. Do this without
telling THEM your problem. But above all else, you must
put some distance between her and yourself and family...
then she may go on to build her own life instead of
living yours.

Thank you for an
outstanding article on
Christians and Bankruptcy. It is the first piece I've seen
that is pretty Scripturally sound and tries to show the
Christian that the important issue here is to get out of
debt as Step#1.
In fact, I like the article so much that not only would I
like your permission to put it and a link back to you up
on our site but I'd like to include the article in a
study I'm preparing for Christians and us Messianics to
come out of the Babylon of debt.
We are a not-for-profit husband and wife teaching
ministry. We both have tentmaker jobs and the sole focus
of our ministry is to show folk solid scriptural basis
for life's instructions deviod of denominationalism.
Check out our extensive website. The site needs a major
house cleaning but you'll get an idea of just how
extensive we are.
Do let us know regarding permission to use this
outstanding article of yours.

Greetings from Japan!
I work as a computer consultant here in Nagoya, Japan and
have the opportunity to meet all kinds of people involved
in a variety of things. I'm currently working with a
retired couple that is doing something good, and am
anxious to help them in any way possible.
For the past year or so, they have been growing an
organisation that donates surplus used Japanese vehicles
to Africa in order to assist orphanages, churches,
schools, hospitals, and other groups in need of reliable
transportation. These vehicles are often packed with used
clothing, toys, wheel chairs, and other useful things. On
a daily basis they receive dozens of requests for
vehicles, often coming from people who had to walk a few
miles just to send a fax. The couple who founded the
organisation retired from the car business a while ago,
and wanted to apply their years of experience and
know-how to help empower Africans at the grass-roots
level. Tons of aid delivered from other parts of the
world is often left to rot in ports for lack of
transportation. Their vision has literally helped to put
aid on wheels throughout many parts of Africa.
At this moment however, this fine work is under attack
from a commercial vehicle export operation. Your prayers
and encouragement are much needed at this time. In
addition to this, if you could post a link to their
website
http://www.transportaid.com and spread the word about this
brave couple and their vision to "put aid on
wheels," it would be very much appreciated.
Thanks and best regards,
Martin Green

Plea from an Oklahoma
City Fireman
I am an OK-C fireman and I hope that Tuesday when Tim
McVeigh's book hits the newsstands that NO ONE WILL BUY
IT. This man is being given too much publicity and shows
NO REMORSE for the horrible crime that he committed. He
has admitted he is guilty. The pictures of these children
and adults will always be in our minds. One hundred and
sixty-eight innocent people died that day. This man
murdered them. Please do not make him some sort of hero.
He wants part of the proceeds to go to the Oklahoma City
Memorial. The Oklahoma City Memorial declines the money.
Send the money to the Memorial, but PLEASE DO NOT BUY
THIS BOOK....!!!!!! Thank you....and remember the
precious children who were so innocent.
Please pass this on to everyone you know so that this
monster does not get any more publicity.

This is not a
solicitation. You are receiving this from a fellow
Christian Web Author to alert all possible Christian
sites to a recent problem experienced on our Church site,
Janesville, New Life Assembly of God.
Two links in our "Kids Bible Study" area, have
been until recently, to web pages about creation science.
It came to our attention yesterday (Sunday May 28th.)
that the links now displayed pornographic materials.
We are not sure if this was due to a hacker attack of the
sites or how it happened. It wasn't from any changes in
our link tag, the page was still named the same but the
display was definitely different.
Because of my hurry to remove them I did not save the
page addresses and I definitly do not want to give them
any promotion. There were two different Creation Science
page links- displaying the same material. My suggestion
is if you have any creation science links on your site
VERIFY THEM IMMEDIATLY.
It is my Spirt that the Lord has given me this issue to
dispense in a swift manner and I ask that you share this
with other fellow Christians that may have contaminated
links also. The Spirit has also brought me insight that
parents need to check any Creation Science links in their
favorites folders.
Thank You, In Jesus Name
